Sequim (pronounced S’kwim) is a small town located in a “rainshadow,” with mountains to the south, waters to the north, and weather that the rest of Washington and many other coastal communities envy. We have many gift shops, murals, antique stores, galleries and fine restaurants. The sun shines more in Sequim than anywhere else in western Washington.
Sequim is a recreational paradise. You can bike across Hurricane Ridge, sail on Puget sound, or hike in the country’s only rain forest. We have many celebrations and festivals, including the popular Lavender Festival, Joyce Daze, Irrigation Festival, and the Clallam County Fair.
Sequim is developing as a center of innovation and entrepreneurship, with fiber optic broadband connections that help businesses connect to global markets. Our community groups take an active role in developing our little section of paradise, while retaining the quality of life we all love here.
